According to FTR Transportation Intelligence, new class 8 sales in October were down 51% compared to last year.

Cummins is going to lay off 2k by the first quarter of 2020.

Yeah I read today that Volvo is laying off workers also due to slumping truck sales. :(

It's a shame, apparently October historically is the strongest month for new truck sales too. I'm surprised given how popular the new Volvo's, Macks, and Cascadias are.
