This began with the old Ertl kit. The engine is a 6v-92T Detroit. The bed was modified.

One of the best Ertl 2674 models I've seen.

Very nicely done Brian, LOVE the wheels and tires all around that one, where do the front flotation tires and Alcoas come from! The dump body looks great too and a good power plant choice for the IH, I have one of those on the go too but I think I left the original engine in it...........which isn't a common choice for that truck IIRC! The Napa mud flaps really set it off too!

How did you "dent" the box? Did you just use heat and press from the inside? What a cool detail too, definitely a must have on an old work truck.

Thanks Jim!
All of the wheels and tires came from Jamie at moluminum.com.
On the bed, the inside and the sides were sheeted with a very thin aluminum that was very easy to dent. I first widened the kit bed slightly because it looked a little narrow with my aftermarket wheels and tires. I then shortened the sides. I dented the aluminum prior to attaching it with epoxy. The tailgate was framed out in plastic and sheeted with aluminum.
Thanks again!
Brian

Wow, ingenious.....never thought you did that, great idea! I should get some of the wheels in case they are no longer available.........just to put in the box again for another 10 years.......
