Coors Light Peterbilt
« on: August 24, 2019, 07:48:07 PM »
Several years ago on Hwy2 between Edmonton and Calgary I spotted this real nice 379 pulling a Hannah Transport bottle.Nothing real fancy but I really liked it. Unfortunately I got a lousy picture.

Then a few years later I see this Coors Light commercial with a nice Pete in it.As I watch it I am thinking it has to be the same truck.Well through Instagram I find out it is the same truck.

This week I finally caught up to the truck I have been after for years, and I was not disappointed. It is a 1992 379 that has been rebuilt from the ground up.The guy still pulls for Hannah Transport out of Acme Ab.For those of us that grew up in Alberta the Hannah name is synonymous with cool trucks.Back in the 80s they had a fleet of W900A longhoods all with big KTA Cummins. In the 90s they had a bunch of 007 James Bond editions.Today the have a couple W900a longhoods and use lease operators for the rest.

this old 359 longhood was also in the yard.It is quite rough but they bought it for the KTA 600 Cummins it had. They are putting it into a W900A they have.

That is gorgeous truck, not overdone, just right!! The commercial looks to be a Canadian set up trailer, either way, good eye, and great story!

The Coors trailer has to be from out east. They don't usually run a lift axle set up like that out west.I have seen logging trucks around Whitecourt with a similar setup.

Great story and shots Rob, that's the sharp Pete and I love the setup they went with for the commercial. Hoping to find one like that in Toronto two weeks from now.

Charlie, beer is heavy!! When they load on 53' trailers, it will weigh out quite heavy, here is an image off the net somewhere in Ontario

Here I thought that was some truck from Hollywood. Didn't realize it was actually a real truck from Canada.
Great story about it and the carrier.

Beer is very heavy. Our biggest trailers at the company I work for are 48' because they would max out on weight before they could cube out.
The foot turned to the horse, the horse to the carriage, the carriage to the train, and the train to the truck.
