I have just been reading an article and in it there is a picture of a Werner rig. It was taken in the 1930s it is a conventional sleeper cab with refrigerated trailer. Maybe Wee Willy or Dave will have heard of the make of truck. It was built in Chicago by a firm called Available.

Paul. I have had another look at the article and if your Werner hail from the Windy City then they are the same outfit. Sorry for late reply.      Bob.

Bob

Here's some more info on "the other Werner" from a past thread you might find interesting.

Thanks for that Charlie. I just assumed it was Werner NE with the arrow on the trailer and what looks like a two tone paint job. Taking another look at picture it has Minniapolis  St Paul ,Milwaukee and Chicago along the side of the refrigerated van. So stand corrected should have paid more attention to the picture.          Bob.

Here's a pretty nicely kept Freightliner Cascadia that I spotted on I-75 in Tennessee back in June, 2013.
