RIP Highland Transport
« on: May 30, 2019, 07:42:42 PM »
Highland Transport has been delivering poor financial results and TFI has decided to shut it down.
1967 - 2019.

Most drivers and owner operators will be moved to other divisions.

Plans were in the works to combine Roadfast and Highland.

Laidlaw might disappear too.

I'm gonna be pissed if Laidlaw disappears before I can get a shot of them. Saw 2 in Detroit last week but there's no photo op when you're going 70+ on I-94.

This is slightly upsetting to see another historical carrier closing. I am aware that Highland has taken some space with P&W/MTMX near Etobicoke but this news sounds shocking.

Update...there might still be Highland trucks hauling containers. I'm sure I saw one but was so surprised I didn't take a picture.
