Charlie,
I was at this truck stop many times after it had become a Union 76. It was on US 441 on the north side between I-4 and where the Acme Truck Stop is today. It was bought and torn down for the usual "improvements" that seem to plague cities that do not want anything to do with truck stops. :'(

Thanks for the info....I don't think I ever ventured along 441 in that area when I was on I-4. Here's a link to the Acme Truck Stop if you're interested.

Is this one very far from your usual Florida haunts, Charlie?
Wasn't there a time when Orlando was famous for oranges not theme parks?
My parents took us down to Florida with our tent trailer in 68 or 69.
We stayed in Daytona in a KOA that was away from the beach; we had to drive there; next to a Pure truck stop.
Our little Canadian Tire tent trailer was the smallest trailer in that park.
Most people there had big Airstreams.
I didn't take pictures back then.
Too bad but that's how it is.

In the 80's the only truck or fuel stop in the Orlando area was just south of Orlando on Hwy 441 (the Orange Blossom Trail) . I spent many nights there and drank at least one six pack of beer on "party row" . As I remember a man from India bought the place and he let it become pretty run down , when he set up Paid Parking I would not stop there .

Yeah pretty much out of my area Rob.....more over by the Turnpike which I never take. The east-west roads across Florida from one coast to the other still have plenty of orange groves.....and cattle. Going north-south or vice versa on my trips I usually stick to US 301 & I-75 or maybe US 17 or US 27 if I'm bored. I try to avoid I-4 & I-95 although there are a lot of ruck stops along those routes.
