How do you find these old threads Lance?
I'd forgotten this one.

Thanks for looking.

Question About The Carrier Spotlight Thread
« Reply #5 on: October 12, 2019, 05:12:59 PM »
I was just going to post an update for a certain carrier and after checking out the thread I stopped. Due to the Photobucket screwup a couple of years ago most if not all threads are bare of photos except the blurry PB pics. My question is this fellow Forum members.....should we ignore the older threads & start off with a new one? ??? I'm guessing no one will replace the old pics....so what do you guys think about this? ???

I don't like the idea of starting over with the carrier threads, I say if you have old posts that are no longer viewable maybe delete those and we'll just start over with the current threads.

That's an option I didn't think about. I'd even repost older pics as I came across them....but what about all the blurred PB photos or Pics that show up as Black Xs from members who are no longer active? ??? I guess some is better than none. :-\

Do we have an archives forum? Maybe we could move those carrier threads to archives and start over in the carrier forum?

I would like to see the blurry zombie photos deleted - they add nothing to the forum .

There are no Archives for the Forum.
The "Archives" originally were the main website itself.
Then it was decided that with a Photo Host site pictures could also be added to The Forum.

My VOTE...and this is a democratic Forum ...everyone's input will be taken into consideration....my vote is to look at the carrier spotlight; and any other long running thread on a case by case basis.
If you think what has been posted before still has some value then continue with it. If it doesn't start a new thread.

WE still don't own this Forum - it still belongs to Hank who has always graciously let us use it as much as we want.
It is paid for for another couple of years. At that time I hope Hank will tell us and maybe we can figure how to continue it on.

I appreciate all the members and especially those who have continued for many years.

So...carry on with carrying on.

Thanks,
Rob

If we're going to start new carrier spotlight threads I say whoever starts a new one should tag it so people will recognize it as replacing the old one.

I.E. "Swift Transportation - Fresh Thread Oct. 2019" or if anybody has a better tag than that I'm all ears.

This is , I gather, what you are talking about Charlie.
When Lance rediscovered this thread PB hadn't blurred everything.
Tery; I don't know what the answer is....I don't have enough spare time in my life to go through all these threads that Photobucket has bugge*ed up and delete the old.
Let's just move on.
Open new topic threads is probably the best.
I would start something along the lines of:

A NEW SWIFT TRANSPORTATION THREAD
as an example.
