WOW! Interesting... I have the Con Cor trailer before yours with the small wheels.  Looks more like a drop deck kind of like the Trainworx models. Didn't know they reissued it  as a Kentucky 48'

I know the one you have, they look a bit odd and they lack detail, no rivets or side doors one them. While the 48' Kentucky trailers don't have rivets either, at least they have rub rail and door details that are quite nice along with belly boxes. That older style drop frame was common in the 60's and early 70's with the smaller tires on them but detail would have been better. I just recently utilized one of the drop frames and a Walther's top half of a car carrier to create a "hot shot" (F 450) 3 car wedge trailer.

This is one version of the intact drop frame moving van

Detail the windshield gasket, chromed the tanks and battery box along with the 1/4 fenders with Molotow Liquid Chrome Pen

Exactly!  That's the one, definitely lacks the details of the Kentucky.  The Mack is coming along nicely  :)

Update:

the bumper is "chromed" along with the air intake snorkel, Athearn wheels and tires all around, A-Line photo-etched deck plate and the windshield has been flush mounted with acetate utilizing the correct curve from a blister pack. The windshield gasket needs to be touched up, used some fine brass wire to fabricate the authentic S style Mack grab handles, both sides installed.

seems nobody is home at PB tonight, will have to insert  photo later

A few more details added to the cab, windshield wipers are from Classic Metal Works, entry steps are scratch-built and air horns from Herpa mounted, clearance lights painted!

Very nice.
Everytime you show a detail shot of what you have added to a model I glance at the 1/87 ths that sit atop my desk to get the true perspective.
Those mirrors have bulldogs on them???
Wow!

Thanks guys, yes those mirrors are cool!! I will add the gold detail to the bulldogs, should be do-able and I could also add one to the front, like the "hood ornament" except the COE not being hood, also should go gold if Mack powered......which it is!

Here are some of the trailer, it comes with the wheel/tires sets on the lead axle, changing all out to the rear axle which are A-Line 5 spoke along with CCM (Classic Metal Works) tires that are smaller profile, better suited for this type trailer IMO

hooked up and rollin

the blemishes on the side are as they came, these where bought used in  case lot of 6 moving vans back some time ago

one more look

I may do one more update yet, I want to drop the 5th wheel height or the trailer mount to lower that nose down......AND get the bulldogs gold ::)

Great model & detail . The drivers who ran the show and convention circuit really had it made . They would "deliver" to an exhibit at McCormick Place in Chicago or wherever ., the vendors crew would setup the display, and the truck would park in a fenced and guarded area for the week and get paid to sit there , then load up and go to L.A. or wherever the next show was . Real high dollar paying freight too .

Came out very nice, like the Dayton wheels instead of the stocks on the trailer. Really nice setup ;D :)
