Dupont on the way out
« on: September 16, 2019, 11:41:05 AM »
Dupont name seems to be on its last miles. Last week I saw on  hwy 10 one of the brand new Freightliner that Transforce
has integrated in the Dupont fleet showing the Contrans name on the door.

I only managed one shot of them....

Contrans is the main operating carrier name now for bulk divisions.

I can't recall seeing anything marked Dupont in all my travels between Toronto, Sherbrooke, Niagara Falls and Brantford last week, but I saw a ton of Contrans. Definitely would seem like they're on the way out.

I can't speak for that shot, but I saw those new Contrans Cascadia's everywhere up the 401, from Montreal all the way south near Brantford, all of them pulling coil haulers.

Charlot1978, I went to your flickr site and I found very interesting photos related to Dupont, Beaumont and GHL. Also the
two photos related to Provost are a nice look on the past.
