Out of the paint shop - I changed the colour and used a dark blue, the other was too purple like a royal blue, nice colour but not Labatt's. Did not have the paint code for the blue so this is my rendition. The trailer has been changed too!

oops, I did it again, close up shot, looks weird!! And yeah, the red wheels gotta go!

Jim.

Now you're gettin' somewhere Jim.

Looks good but I wonder if a flat would have reduced both the aluminum appearance of the gold and the blue.

Doug: I think it would have, even tho the gold does not have the same gloss level as the blue -the gold just sucked up the clear, it is a very course pigment- where as the blue is more standard base coat. I will have to experiment with some different styles when done to see how to best capture the finished model without getting that grain look.

Movin on, a mocked up view of the rear wheels.......starting to look more like what I remember.

Doug, do you think the fuel tanks steps go silver like on the newer Transtars they had or all blue?

Stay with all blue on the fuel tanks Jim.
That's how I remember them.

the windows are all in, air horns - I hope they ran dual, kinda think they may have but they are on- and the decal on cab door, they might be a bit small.

and I added a few to the trailer too!

Now mirrors.....oh joy!!

The finishing touches......mirrors, windshield wipers fabricated and installed, interior in, cab glued down to chassis

a look at the side........not sure how I got the decal on this side off centre, marked it out and still.....bummer! The other side is fine.

one look at the back door....as this one is done

Looks good Jim.
I wouldn't worry whether it had 2 horns or not.

The finished model shots look great on their own, but I just went back and looked at the first post in this thread. Wow, what a transformation! Another excellent model, Jim.

Thanks guys for the comments!!

With the wifey working afternoons I seem to get an hour or so evenings, on the weekends depending on what goes on, I usually score some time so bit by bit we work away at them!
