Glad to be here
« on: September 04, 2018, 03:00:30 PM »
My name is Rick Gaskill. I've been around trucks all my life. My father was employed by Rosenfeld Concrete in Milford, MA. The first truck I rode in was a single axle '53 Mack LJ my father used to move the D7 Cat dozer he operated. Rosenfeld had several chain drive Sterling cement mixers . They were replaced by B Model Macks although a Sterling wrecker continued to be used into the '70s. The Macks began being replaced by Autocars in 1964.
I started driving OTR in '75 driving an International 4070 cabover with a 318 and a 4 speed.  By the late '80s I was running regional, MA to MD, still cabover and mostly Macks. The last 10 years before I retired I was pulling hazmat tanker
