9500 and Brigadier cabs
« on: July 29, 2018, 06:39:28 AM »
Does anybody know if the 9500 cab is the same as the Brigadier?  I assume that as both are GMC production, a lot of the small parts should be common?
Still working on this Brig idea and my son drug a real rough 9500 out of the brush in S Jersey yesterday.

Thanks

There was a whole field of old trucks all overgrown in the weeds & brush right near Pole Tavern. On 77 south of 40. Most are pretty bad and getting sscrappedbut my kid's getting an old B model Mack ten wheeler. It's kinda rough but it should work for a site truck.

I believe that the GMC 9500 and Brigadier cabs are similar if not identical.  They shared the same instrument panel and dash.  I think the hood was the significant difference.

Without measuring anything I never noticed anything different about the cab itself, however the dog house, and hood are completely different.
There must be an interchange book that would tell you for sure.
Good luck. Sounds like great finds.
