Re: ANOTHER! August update to LUNCHTIME AT MY OVERPASS 2018
« Reply #45 on: August 28, 2018, 04:17:40 AM »
I haven't finished this update until Tuesday morning.  ::)

Greyhound has been in the news here in Canada. It says it can't make money on many of its western and northern routes and will be scaling their operations back. This bus shows they are serving Toronto International (Pearson) Airport but from where I don't know.

This one is for Wayne Crane! It is his favourite subject when taking truck pics. Unfortunately he's having computer troubles so hasn't seen this pictiure.
Is this a W900 or a T800 High Hood ?

ASL Global Logistics has put several trucks on a bulk tank operation.

This is the second King of the Roads Ltd I have bagged. Certainly a colourful logo and design.

And, as I was leaving my spot I noticed this JB Hunt 53 foot domestic container. Can't figure out who the carrier is though.

Some JBHU containers are seen on the CN train from Chicago but I wonder if some arrive by truck from the USA.

And this completes LTOP for Friday August 24 2018

The KW heavy hauler is stunning, the paint stands out, but isn't tacky. 8)
Also, I believe it's a W900B.

What's this? Another Volvo. And just to be sure - there is the word Volvo on the sun visor.

A couple of straight trucks went past.

The Canadian Pacific Railway is upgrading their domestic container fleet. Wesrbound reefer can; unknown carrier.

I couldn't find anything about this carrier - other than it is based in Brampton.

Peterbilt gravel hauler.

Pentagon Logistics from Mississauga in a ....VOLVO!

D&W Forwarders (in a Volvo ::)) B Train with curtainsides. I wonder if this is based in their Hawksbury yard and hauls steel from Ivaco in L'Orignal?
Where's Mr Tyzo?

Traditional Ontario gravel hauler set up -tri axle end dump.

And, a Challenger Volvo cruises down the QEW

And, a Volvo daycab from Coca Cola rolls past.

There are more pictures to be posted later.

Other than the store delivery trucks Coke ran in the '90s I think that's the first Volvo tractor I've ever seen in Coke livery. Looks cool. 8)

I looked more closely at the picture and that is Canada Cartage on the tractor door.

Here is another Vilmik Transport Western Star headed east.

I think this says Maston International but I couldn't find anything about. It looks like a Quebec steel hauler though.

Cargo Transport from Toronto pulling a BRO-ALB trailer also from Toronto.

Taby Transport is from Hammond ON which is just outside Ottawa.

Not sure who runs this Prostar.

Does anyone recognise Hermann Transportation? I see them frequently here but always heading out of Toronto.

MCA usually runs KW's - but here is a Pete.

BTX is another steel hauler I can't find anything about.

And we end this LTOP with this International daycab from TTR. It is an old BR Smith tractor.

And;
that's all for 9-11-18

Hermann Transportation is a New Jersey outfit with headquarters in Dayton but I think the trucks are still showing South Brunswick (neighboring town) as the domicile. :-\ Been around as long as I can remember..........the fleet's been upgraded in the last 10 years but prior to that I recall a real hodge podge of power. ;D

So here we are....a mild but windy October day.

Leading off....a Volvo from Keena Leasing and Trucking from Bolton ON

This was a Fancy Ride Peterbilt fleet up to now.

Nova Steel but it doesn't look to be Chriscott Leasing any more.

Then, a new Cascadia for 4Tracks from Winnipeg.

Safeway Tours running from Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls ON to various points in Toronto. This shuttle runs 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Schroder Freight from Winnipeg? This company might have gone bankrupt and been restored. The Google links weren't too clear.

Owner operator leased to ITS of Belleville who have several terminals around Ontario.

I'm not sure why I took this picture of two westbound daycabs. Maybe something interesting was following the ITS eastbound.

(oops...look at the time. It's Saturday morning and we have to go to the grocery store....more to follow)

Gamblers go in style up your way Rob. ;D In Jersey Atlantic City casino bus action has slowed down considerably since NY,PA & DE now have their own casinos and many gamblers choose to go out of state nowadays.

Not sure who this blue International was pulling for but he was clipping along pretty good. I caught him shifting from centre land to the right lane.

This Pete 386 is leased to Canadian Flatbeds of Brampton.

This Transport Grp Robert International daycab is on the entrance ramp to the eastbound QEW.

This Western Star is from Carric Freight Lines based in Pembroke in the upper Ottawa Valley.

Then a Mack straight truck with a trailer from Cooper Iron & Metal with lifts of scarp metal.

The Cooper Iron Mack with the trailer is an interesting setup, I've never seen anything like that before.
Cool catch. :)
