The black Pete and spread axle is a sharp combo. 8)
I'm digging the Highlight Volvo to, I saw one here at a local truckstop Sunday that had a fully wrapped trailer.
Unfortunately I didn't get a shot. :P

July 2018 - Friday the Thirteenth

Unfortunately I missed getting up to my Overpass in June.
However, a nice summer day meant I would shove other tasks aside and get a few pictures.

Walking to my spot I saw this sharp Peterbilt with a coill of steel on the deck. Too far away to make a carrier identification it was worth a picture.

I saw a Mack wearing Trimac colours but pulling a flat deck approaching. I thought it must be a former Trimac working for someone else but the trailer had Trimac's name on it too. A rare non tank Trimac spotting.

Pride Group Logistics is a Mississauga carrier built by merging several smaller carriers. New Freightliner day cab.

W.J.Deans Pete 567 with B Train.

Vilmik is another Quebec steel hauler.

Another Western Star with a B Train gasoline tank set.

I'm not sure who runs this Western Star daycab but they use a former Earl Paddock trailer.

TMT is a carrier that appears in my CHOT series. This Columbia daycab with a GOLD leaser container went past.

Connors Transfer from Stellerton Nova Scotia. They have a terminal in Brampton.

The first group of 10 ends with this Canada Cartage with a Muir's trailer heading to Toronto. CCL took over Muir's in 2016.

Thanks, as always, for your comments.........and moving right along...

Slade's Cartage T680 Kenworth, based in Gormley Ont - a northeast suburb of Toronto.

A ZOOM of white....another Western Star; this one is pulling a trash trailer passes a Peterbilt 386 pulling a dump trailer. Even the cube van in the far left lane is basically white.

Another Western Star - Active Transport set up to haul heavy with a flat that is set up to haul heavy. I'm sure I'll never see this one pulling a cement bulk tank trailer for John Grant Haulage.

Volvo hauling a dry van trailer - I don't recognise the carrier logo on the door.

Triple 1 Logistics is based in Ajax Ont - a community on the east part of the GTA.

Another Volvo from that "Unknown" carrier is being zoomed by Walker Environmental from Burlington.

An old Century class Freightliner from Ceva Logistics

Another trash hauler - a Freightliner Columbia is hauling a trailer with Green For Life paint but without the markings. It must be new - it's clean!

Another Columbia - Wilson's Truck Lines returning to the Etobicoke yard.

A Freightliner M class from Tamarack Lumber of Burlington with a load of pre-formed house parts and a couple of lifts of lumber on the way to a building project.

The FL M class seems to have those trusses loaded every which way. :o Down my way they're usually just hanging off the trailer on one side only.

The Burlington Environmental is unique as is the Active Heavy haul Star.

Charlie...that load certainly looks lopsided but I would have to assume it must be loaded safely.
That company ships lots of those every day and there is a weigh-inspection station between their place of business and where I took the pictures.

OK, there are a few more to add

King of the Roads - I thought was from Brampton but it is actually from (Rexdale) Etobicoke.

The name and the look of the Volvo and trailer struck me as one of the Brampton Boyz. That whole industrial commercial area sprawls around the Toronto airport - Rexdale on the east side; Brampton to the north and Mississauga to the west. (ok, I'll stop blathering now  ;))

Here's one for the LTL guys - a set of Yellow pups pulled by an International LT.

The tractor is a rental/lease from Maxxim. This is actually a Reimer

Here we have a sharp looking T800 from Moore Bros of Brampton.

It was followed by this Pete 386 with a B train. Unknown carrier and I'm not sure what the cargo is.

And; this update finishes with a bus.
Heartland is a charter coach company from the Twin Cities area. Two of these were running - from my research they are probably on a Niagara Falls and Toronto tour.

The Moore Bros T800 is nice, and the 386 with the b-train is neat to. 8)

Wednesday July 25.

We open with an aggregate hauler - in a Pete or maybe a KW. A T880 I believe.

Next a Freightliner Cascadia from Kingsway Vrac/Bulk.

International Prostar with a Btrain from Laidlaw Dump division.

Then we have a Volvo with a scrap metal trailer from McKay Transport

Musket Transport Volvo daycab with a reefer container from Triton

A Prostar from Cooney Transport based in Belleville ON with a bulk trailer.

A Prostar daycab from D&W Forwarders of Brampton and Hawksbury

Here we have a Freightliner Columbia with a bulk trash trailer.

Steel hauler with a curtainside B Train flat deck set - not sure who the carrier is though.

What the h*ll is this thing?

Not sure but the Century class Freightliner looks clean. I doubt it gets driven too many miles a year hauling the whatchamacallit.

The aggregate hauler is a KW T800, and a very sharp one too.  ;)
The last shot is interesting, the Century has an NRC Quickswap unit (http://nrc-industries.com/equipment/quickswap/quick-swap/), and is pulling what I believe is a Portable Frac Tank (https://www.rbauction.com/frac-tank?cid=1931291104). :)

Thanks for both tidbits.
Nice to know what that Whatchamacallit actually is

July 25 Continued

Next comes a Zoom - a Western Star from Cole Carriers Corp -a steelhauler from Hamilton - is being passed by an International (I think we have an LT) that looks to be a lobster hauler from the Maritime Provinces. Maybe Lee Dugas can id this one.

Then we have a Sterling from Walker Environmental.

A Prostar or a newer LT? Keith Hall and Sons from Burford run Internationals. This is likely a liquid sugar trailer.

Preston Transport is a long time carrier from Bowmanville, a small town east of Toronto.

What model of International is this one from Gazzola Paving? This must be a tank load of asphalt from Hamilton.

Then we have a Cascadia from KimTam Trucking, the in house carrier for Samuel Steel of Burlington.

A Volvo daycab from Bestway Transport. I actually thought they were out of business; their Mississauga yard has been vacated.

Carterm hauling an APL container with a sharp Mustang zipping past in the far lane.

And we close this LTOP installment with a Cascadia from ACAM Transport from St.Hyacinthe Quebec on the entrance ramp to the highway.

I believe the Keith Hall is a Prostar & the Gazzola Binder is a 7600 which makes a pretty rugged looking road tractor. 8) I like the ACAM Cascadia. :) I see them a lot over in Swedesboro NJ........they seem to have stuck with Freightliners over the years.
