September 2017 LTOP
« on: March 26, 2018, 04:06:24 AM »
By this time I was starting to despair about my (former) laptop but thought "what the heck, I'll go and do another LTOP and see what happens". This would be the last oen though.

They had been rebuilding the Overpass for most of the year.

The main work was done overnight to lessen the impact on local traffic.

The golden rod was blooming

and some traffic action shots
Western Star steel hauler from Quebec

A couple of Kenworths - the T800 dump truck is on the entrance ramp while a CPR domestic container slides past.

They were followed by another Kenworth.

Cavalier from Bolton - this is a Transforce owned carrier that does LTL within 500 miles of Toronto.

Unknown Volvo

Fortigo from the Rexdale district of Toronto with a trailer marked for Cantech.

Cantech distributes tape of various kinds.

Hyndman Transport which is the Celadon Canadian operating carrier name.

Joseph Haulage from Stoney Creek has a large fleet of dumps and flat decks. they have a smaller fleet of tankers.

Anyone tell me what model of Pete this is?

That's the first group. There are more to follow.

Thanks; I hope to get up there this coming month to start my 2018.

And we continue..........
I can't read the name of whoever operates the sharp Lonestar grain hauler. A International Prostar from Erb is in the right hand lane.

DBR Transport, based in Hamilton,  runs a very sharp fleet.

A Wilson Truck Lines Volvo returns to the yard.

A Freightliner Century leased to ITS

And a Mack from KimTam/ Samuel Steel.

I couldn't figure out who NTS is . Nice Western Star though.

I usually try and shoot a dumper - Peterbilt truck and trailer outfit.

FedEx Freight set of doubles headed for the border.

John Deere Parts Express.

A Grain Hauler was next.

Can't help you on the model Rob, but this one looks like an ex-Deans tractor.

Joseph Haulage from Stoney Creek has a large fleet of dumps and flat decks. they have a smaller fleet of tankers.

Anyone tell me what model of Pete this is?

I thought it looked like a Deans tractor too.

I guess I should have finished this off the other day since there are only three more pictures to post.

A scrap hauler - name I can't make out. The trailer looks like it's carried a few loads in it's time.

Then....
HAY!!!!!!!!!!!
Two loads of hay finished the afternoon's sightings off.
The International pulling a B Train nearly outran the camera.

and the Peterbilt seemed like a good finish to the day.

And, that was it for truck pictures from my Overpass.
The computer problems were too expensive to be worthwhile so I just switched to my Smart-Phone.
Smart-Phone pictures from my overpass wouldn't be worth taking.
So, now it's nearly April so I hope to get back up there and see what action I can record....very soon.
