Hello group,

New member, but a long time fan of the trucking industry.
I used to go to the Louisville Truck shows when I was young, with my dad and some friends.  What great fun that was!
Model truck builder as a past hobby that I'm finding myself get into again.
I'm interested in learning more about H. Vroom and son Trucking out of Detroit, MI.  my father-in-law (now deceased) drove for him
from the mid 40's to the mid 70's.   My project is to build a 1/25 scale model of a truck that he drove from the 1970 to 1975 era.
Any information anyone might have would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
Phil Casteel

Welcome here Phil, I hope you find what you are looking for here. looking forward to your input! Although I have no photos to refresh your memory, I seem to recall that name but can't picture any of the equipment. Let's hope someone here will be able to help!

And, here is the picture.
It certainly looks like an International to me.

Rob,

Thank you for posting the picture.
I havenít got that figured out yet.
Iím thinking itís either a Ď59 or a new Ď60 International as well.
So far,  Iíve only found one other picture of Dad standing inside the back of a trailer.
Some years ago I had made contact with a H. Vroom relative.
Though my quest for information was unfruitful.
