Half cab drill rig

Progress as of 10/12/17



A scratch built crane carrier half cab drill rig...  I hope the pics attach....




Updated, the rear engine cover is almost don't, needs putty and paint.

Very interesting, nice work too! I don't know much about these tucks but you have a convincing build going, like to see it to the finish!

Did you scratch-build the cab also?  Would you consider doing a resin kit?

Crane Carrier built concrete mixer chassis in the 60-80's.  This would make a great mixer model.

I appreciate all the kind words.  I'm going to try to post a reference picture of an actual rig today.  I'm making some progress and will post updated pics soon. 

Also, this cab is purchased from Dave Natale at aitruckmodels.com  Dave has a ton of cabs wheels and accessories available, he has a nice chassis kit for the crane carrier.

Updated photos...  working on rear engine housing and the rear cooling unit.  Hope to start the drill tower within the next week.  I'm waiting for some warmer days to paint.
