EASTER MONDAY 2017
April 17 2017

A nice day so I went back to The Overpass. Traffic wasn't too heavv but it was steady.

STEEL HAULERS
We start with a smart looking Freightlner - Unknown company.

Delhi-Solac of St. Jerome Quebec. (The Delhi plant of this compnay no longer exists)

Cooney Transport (Belleville, Brantford, Kingston, Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal) flat deck.

Roseman Transport of St. Catharines.

Ivan Armstrong Trucking of North Wellington

The "Oddball" truck of the day is from Pagonis Bait. They, according to SAFER, have one truck and driver that they use to haul worms.

CFI cruising along.

Sunbury Transport  of St John New Brunswick.

Caravan Logistics of Oakville

and this first group of 10 closes with Highland Intermodal of Markham.

Let us continue -

Simore Transportation from Hamilton with this older Freightliner.

A Volvo from ITS based in Belleville. They send this "Support The Canadian Forces" trailer to shows during the summer.

http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/pix/trucks/archer/2010/07-26/pete_6.jpg

Not sure what carrier operates this Freightliner and bulk trailer.

Bert and Son's Cartage from Brantford are hauling this USAC container.

The Big Load of the day was this cylinder being hauled by this unknown Peterbilt.

Zooming in on the picture I cannot see a carrier name but it looks like a Quebec license plate on the tractor.

This Volvo runs for Venture Steel of Rexdale.

and this Volvo runs for Peter Hodge from Milton.

For the Transforce files - Clarke Transport city unit. There weren't very many LTL trucks out that day.

Now , this was a sharp truck - Maksteel Peterbilt going to Hamilton or Nanticoke for another load. Poor going away shot and I hope for a better one soon.

A nice tractor for a can hauler - Railconnect with a EMP container on a CPPZ chassis.

A T600 operated by a "Brampton Boyz" carrier. - Shirack possible.

And, this group will conclude with this Samuel Steel-Kimtam Peterbilt. I have shot this one other years.

That blue and white FL Coronado is very nice, probably my favorite of the posts. And the Maksteel Pete is a close second, really sharp truck.

Thanks Guys....
I will finish the Easter Monday Update......

Trimac Freightliner with a dry bulk trailer.

International 9900 from an unknown carrier. The trailer it is pulling has TransX ghost markings.

Sharp looking Volvo with a reefer trailer. Couldn't read the carrier name which appears to be on the sleeper vent window.

American Haulage isn't an American company but a produce hauler based in Brampton.

This is a first sighting for me...Canada Cartage hauling a Coke trailer. Maybe they scored some of Coca Cola's buiness.

We fihish our short Overpass visit with three steel haulers.

BFT or maybe RFT with a white Volvo.

I can't read the carrier name on this blue Volvo.

But, for the last one of the day - it is unmistakable - Paddock International Kenworth daycab.

Thanks for looking.
We will return to this shooting spot again soon.

Trimac is sharp, Paddock never disappoints! Sure is different to see Coke on behind the CC, pretty old tractor for them too, looks to be in good shape though!

The nicer weather has arrived....so I went up to The Overpass for a short break on Friday 4-28-17

We'll kick things off with a Volvo - Laidlaw Bulk

And another Volvo - Arrow Transportation - Brampton

Unknown Columbia daycab

and, another Volvo

MTMX Pete 386 with a MT chassis set on the way to pick up some containers.

and, ANOTHER Volvo - Meldrum The Mover from Montreal.

Leon's Furniture is a major Canadian chain of furniture and home appliance stores. - Nice FL Cascadia for them.

The Day Cabbers are out in force on a Friday afternoon. Canada Cartage with a Canadian Tire container leads a Western Star from a steel distributor.

ZAV-COR from Stevensville (Fort Erie) with a reefer container. Beacon is a container leasing company.

and, this group finishes with a KW T680 from Transport Paradis from Beancour Quebec.

***EDITED MAY 19 2017***
I missed adding the last group of pictures from April 28.
Here they are:

Cooney Group Kenworth T680

Unknown flat deck hauler with what appears to be a mixed load

Midland Transport Cascadia

Peterbilt B Train with small buildings of some sort on the deck.

Peterbilt with a five axle walking floor trailer.

And another Peterbilt step deck finished that day's pictures.

Now THAT'S 30 for April 28th.

A DELHI SOLAC tractor 17 years ago parked in the Papineau Transport's yard in St. Jérôme. The company was a dedicated
account of that Transforce division in those days.

Autohauler Hino with a 3 car trailer.

Freightliner B train with a load of timbers leads a Pete (579?) with a reefer.

Tandet Volvo daycab

A Freightliner expediter truck from Load1 of Taylor MI scooted past.

C.A. Transport is from Boisbriand Quebec.

Peterbilt with a Btrain flat.

Western Star from TTL

Kenworth T680 880 from McAsphalt  (Thanks Jim  ;))

This is a very sharp fleet

Laidlaw with a B Train flat. They still seem to have a flatdeck division separate from Contrans flatdeck division.

As an outsider-observer it seems difficult to see where the lines within Contrans are drawn.

B&H Transport from Mississauga who specialize with curtainsider trailers.

I shot this west bound container hauler for the new CP logo on the container.

Thursday's LTOP finishes with another Venture Steel unit - this Peterbilt surrounded by cars.

I just saw a similar CP container with the new CP logo this morning in my hometown of Granby.

I saw my first one on november,9,2016 moving eastbound on HWY 10 between Montréal and Sherbrooke.

Quite an update Rob, the MacAsphalt is outstanding for sure, it is a Kenworth T880! I also found the Vilmik Western Star 5700 to be pretty cool.
