New here but old school in trucking
« on: January 27, 2017, 11:05:36 AM »
Just entered the  forum, with a mission and that's to find any pictures about my dads workplace from the 70's and 80's.
Were from Houston and he worked for M.W, McCurdy. He was a mechanic worked there for over 25 years. My self I was a bodyman working at Gulf Coast Kenworth. I remember the days of the cabovers when I was a kid.

Oh yea, been looking thru them for days, lol. I've found 3 pictures of the conventional Petes they used right before they sold out and shut down. The ones I'm looking for is the old cabover days, the trailers also had a different logo on the sides as well. The tractors were painted dark green with a gold stripe and white roof. The lettering was in gold.
I lost my dad to cancer last year and I want to build a model of a McCurdy truck in his memory, so it's crucial that I get it right, make sense?

Thanks guys, I actually miss working down at Kenworth in the body shop, and listening to all my dads stories about the cabover days. Hopefully I can find what I'm looking for.
