All-American Truck Stops.............

..........by Guy Kudlemyer & Wayne Henderson. Just received it today & have just finished the first chapter which I found to be quite interesting & informative. The book deals with the Mom & Pop truck stops of the '40s up to the 1970s Interstate truck stops. Lotsa photos & old ads..........looking forward to resuming reading it tomorrow.

It's pretty interesting..........I like looking at all the old photos. seeing places I've been to along the east coast is cool too..........the whole history thing is quite the lesson. :)

I have that book as well. Another book to go with that is The Long Haul  ( American Trucking Companys ) by Ron Adams.     Bob.

I've been through it twice now & enjoyed it both times. :) Only thing is, unless I missed it, I didn't find one reference to Rube's at all which in those days had a nationwide reputation. ;D
