On Target
« on: November 22, 2015, 10:29:55 PM »
I seem to frequently go out for groceries late afternoon/early evening on Sundays, and I've noticed that Swift comes in for a trailer switch at the local Target (where I get most of the groceries these days) in that general time frame.  I caught this KW T680 there just after sundown on 11/15.

Sunday 11/22, while no trucks were about, I thought I would take some shots of this dropped van for the trailer aficionados since the late day light looked pretty good.  Kind of a shame it wasn't a newer unit.

Cool shots Paul.
Target, eh....they came; screwed up their openings; lost a ton of money; closed up and fled back to the States.  >:(
That was our Target Experience.

Target store delivery drop times are typically late afternoons-evenings and into the wee-hours of the AM.

Hi guys, that sounds good about Target and so on, but oh man, look at the smoking sweetheart trailer in the top photo. Excellent broadside shot, but I  wonder what the number was, just for fun. I can tell though, that it isn't a newer one if you will, like a 155 or higher, because the number isn't on the side towards the back, where it is on the newest ones. Even considering how late it looks outside, the photo came out really well.

A couple of shots taken late this evening.  There are actually three Swift trailers in the second photo, including one to the far right at the dock.

Paul, good job again on the photos, and this looks like a busy place. Here in the Chicago area, Target uses their own trailers. The Swift 136708 was manufactured by Wabash National, in August 2013. Also, Wabash National must have been very busy that month manufacturing trailers for Swift, because I have trailers at least from 136366-137586 being built that month.

Drove by there just after 8 this evening, right around sunset, and found the same Cascadia and driver as the photos above doing a trailer switch.  In the last shot the Cascadia is just out of view to the left, backing into the trailer in the background.  The foreground trailer is the one he pulled from the dock in shots 2 and 3.

Another night, more groceries.  A different unit shot this evening with an older trailer.

Paul, good job on the photos, and trailer 152125 was manufactured by Hyundai, in September 2014.
