Same, I really do want to get out and do some local spotting as well, I have yet to do so. I still have such a backlog of trip photos from last year it's going to be awhile and sometimes I just don't feel like working on them ;D

Thanks for the compliment on the KW, I just wanted to mix things up a bit and go with the two-tone scheme. Here is it pulling a reefer for H&R Transport.

And, one more update for today, is #17-12, a 2017 Peterbilt 579 with 550 Cummins ISX and 18spd Eaton transmission. I went with the wavy paint scheme on this one, but made most of the truck black with a slight purple accent. Here it is hauling a Prime reefer.

The 579 is nice, and the small stripe like you did is as close as you can get to the Prime look on the game (not sure if you did that on purpose).  I think it would be really cool if there was a color scheme available in the game with a subtle stripe (maybe even a two tone stripe) against a base color, similar to what you see on some companies like Prime Inc., TBI, and Jim Daws Trucking.

Sorry about going off topic now, but have you ever done truck spotting where you're standing along the highway and taking pictures of the trucks that go by?  I can't recall seeing any pics of yours like that; would be interesting to see how that goes but if you don't have the time I totally understand.  Taking truck pictures is the fun part, but I'll agree editing and posting them does get to be tedious. ::)

I agree, it would be nice if we could get some more paint schemes like that for the SCS trucks, the 389 is the only one that has any stock looking ones on Steam Workshop. I wasn't trying for the Prime look originally, but saw the reefer in my load screen and thought it looked right together. Definitely drove a lot faster than any Prime trailer is used to I'm sure ;D ;D

And no problem at all, I just don't seem to have too many spots around that are that good for photo taking. I enjoy on the road photos, but I also have been looking around for local spots. The other thing though is time, like you said. I rarely have enough free time during the day between working and classes to get out to take a trip, let along time to edit them, which is why I have so much stuff from last year's on the road trips I haven't even gone through yet. I enjoy posting them, it's just hard to find time to sit down and edit stuff.

Here are a couple of new additions: #17-13 is a 2017 Peterbilt 389 with large sleeper and air shield, 600hp Cummins/18speed, this one using one of the SCS paint schemes. It is actually a very dark purple with gold accents.

#17-14 is another 389, this one using a retro black and white paint scheme

I also purchased a couple of daycab 2017 389s. Both have the highest powered engine with 18 speed gearboxes. #17-15 has a liftable axle and does mainly fuel hauling, as well as hauling double dump trailers, a new venture G&G Trucking has started. These are a mod available on steam.

And the other daycab 389 is a similar truck, #17-16, this one with rear fenders.

Here is one of our T680 midroofs also hauling a set of dump trailers

Very nice; I like them all! 8)  The paint scheme on #17-14 must be a mod.  It looks really good, can the colors on it be changed?

Thanks! Yes, it is a mod paint scheme for the SCS 389 I found on Steam. There are a few of them and I think they are all paintable. If you search "paintable" or "changeable" in the workshop it should bring them up.

Nice skins on those 389s. I've always wanted to try skinning.

Been awhile since I've updated here in general. Still playing ATS when I feel like unwinding after a long day, I still am so behind here in general, I've been trying to get my Flickr gallery up to date with my stuff on here that way I can update both at the same time, so apologies for the lack of activity in general from me. As for ATS, G&G Trucking has continued to grow. I have sold off some of the original trucks I purchased as they were getting pretty high mileage, and wanted to make room for some new purchases. Still have a mix of trucks posted before and some new ones as well.

Side note, but got a bit annoyed at this AI truck (way in the background) that kept hogging the left lane doing about 55 in a 65, would not merge over, I had to eventually cut off the T680 I was passing and weave around ::) ;D

Good to see another ATS update from you.  I have still been playing as well, but been really lazy about updating lately. ::)  I generally haven't been as active either, which is in part to some extra stuff that has been going on lately but things should finally calm down after this week.  That and to be honest the lack of forum activity has made me less motivated to be active myself.

As always, I'm really enjoying the pics of your fleet.  IMO the dusk pics of the green W900 really turned out well.  Also I notice that the modded reefers look so much shinier than the standard ones.  That's not a bad thing, although they almost look unnaturally so, as the grey horizontal bars running across the top and bottom of the trailer look like chrome, which I've never seen in real life.

Much appreciated, hope things are going good for you. I know I have to admit the lack of forum activity definitely de-motivated me for awhile as well. I don't feel as inclined to post photos right away, I still hope and plan to add them here, but am not really in a huge rush to do so.
The shiny reefer trailers are about how they look new from the factory. The grey bars going on the top and bottom have some shine to them when cleaned up, though in the game, I believe the code for them has them in the same place as chrome features. I have been running the game on a much higher graphics setting, as I discovered it worked well and didn't make it run slower. One of the main things I changed was making the reflection and texture detail higher quality. You'll notice the wheels and chrome pieces look shinier, so I think the trailer edges are included in that. The problem with the 3000R mod, as good as it is, is that if you run it on a low graphics setting, the textures on the trailer don't show up right, whereas when you have it on higher graphics quality, it looks much better. As long as it doesn't hurt my fps, and it hasn't, I plan on keeping the higher graphics settings. The trucks look a bit more realistic as well.

Finally doing a bit of an update to this thread, I love the new trailer ownership feature, as well as the Oregon DLC.

First, here is one of our Cummins ISX-powered 2017 Peterbilt 389's with a 2018 Utility 48ft reefer trailer. Most of our trailers are 53ft, but we do have some 48ft units for regional runs.

Here is a 2018 Kenworth T680 with a 48ft trailer. This truck has super singles, whereas most of our tractors are full duals. The paint scheme is a paintable mod from the Steam workshop.

Another 2018 Kenworth T680, with a 2018 Utility 53ft reefer trailer.

We also have several 48ft spread-axle reefer trailers. Here is one with one of our 2017 Peterbilt 389's.

And here is one with one of our 2018 Kenworth T680's.

The 389 with the spread axle is a sharp rig, the "Seminole" paint always looks nice on largecars. 8)

Looking good as always!  I was honestly surprised that trailer ownership came as soon as it did; it was a pleasant surprise for sure.  No more being forced to pull trailers that don't match the tractor, and trailers with those cheap steel wheels. 8)  Any plans to diversify your fleet operations to more than just reefer?  Of course, not all trailers are ownable in the game yet, but it sounds like the plan is to eventually be able to own them all.  It's off to a good start though.  Hopefully they introduce more cargo options for the trailers sometime, especially for the flatbeds.  And did you happen get the classic stripes DLC along with Oregon?

I have to say, SCS has been absolutely killing it in the last couple years, and looks like things will continue to get better from here.  Especially when you consider what this game was like when it first released! :o  The latest map DLCs are packed with amazing quality and detail, and other features like oversize cargoes, doubles/triples, and most of all trailer ownership, are great too.  They're finally revamping the old parts of ETS2, and hopefully at some point they give the older parts of ATS a refresh too.  Even California and Nevada are better quality than say, Germany, so I don't think it needs to be as extensive as what they're doing for ETS2, but touching up the scenery along some portions of highway, and detail in the cities/towns to match newer regions would be nice.  It sounds like two map teams, with each team working on one DLC, will be in place going forward, which given the size of the area they plan to map is great to hear.  ATS desperately needs more trucks, but there's good news on that front too as I hear that licenses for the International LoneStar and new Freightliner Cascadia are all but official (although I'm sure there's much work to be done on the models themselves), and the previous-gen Volvo VNL should be finally coming to the game in a few weeks. 8)

I stopped playing ATS when the mods kept getting outdated after updates, it was too much trouble fixing everything.

The spread axle reefers, is that a mod or does SCS let you determine the tandem setup on trailers you buy?

I'd like to get back into it but tbh I'd rather build a separate computer as I was having lagging/game collapsing issues last time I played, which was about a year ago. I'm also concerned about overloading my pc as it is getting crowded with my backlog of photos.
