The truck was probably imported.  I've see MANs, Scanias and Mercedes Benz tractors here either for sale or at work on the highways.  Truck was probably imported by someone that moved here from Russia.  Then he found that are trucks are so much better and decided to use them instead :-D
The foot turned to the horse, the horse to the carriage, the carriage to the train, and the train to the truck.

Some Russian trucks look pretty tough I think, but you'd never find parts... I've seen Ivecos and Scanias over in my area.
Class...you either have it, or you don't.

I've seen Ivecos around here and for sale as well.

You could always have the parts imported, but I don't know who would want to do that, unless this truck was a really cheap one.

Here in the north east you do still see Ivecos and Scanias running around. The Freightliner dealer "Diehl" used to sell Ivecos when Iveco tried to establish a market here. Also Scania tried to sell here and a company in New Jersey called TRMA sold Scanias. The other day I wish I had my can as I spotted an orange or yellow Scania T series tractor pulling a flatbed, some crane company I think.
