This month's winner? Dockmen027! A runaway win it was, too - eight votes, with the runner-up coming in at three. :) Congratulations!!!

Now that I can comment.....that is an awesome pic!!! Wish those were the trucks we were still driving.

Many thanks to all the Brockway and 1693 Cat lovers, and also to the folks at WLC for providing the great subject matter for the photo. The red Brockway that my friend Russell was sticking out of, has a V12 Detroit that he was tuning up.

I have to say that Colprovia Brock looks great.
I remember then coming out of their Mt Kisco, N.Y. plant.
Where's the pictures you ask, the same place that the Grand Union White's are.
The G U, D.C. was in Mt Kisco also.  I just never took pictures.

Grand Union had a lot of Brockways at the Waterford NY warehouse back in the day, not sure if there were any in Kisco, but I do remember the Whites and later Fords. When Colprovia bought those Brockways back in the early 1970's they were painted Erie Blue, and when O&G took over they were painted gold. 7321 will soon be going back to Erie Blue, along with sister 7222 which  is still on the reassembly line.

Again, thanks everybody for the nice comments.........

Sorry if I'm a little late with this....but I have to ask about the red Brockway with the V 12 Detroit:

Would this be the same truck that was featured in a video series made for ATHS members?........In the video, the owner/driver of that gorgeous Brockway was wearing a business suit as he was interviewed and drove along.

This video series is absolutely fantastic as great care was taken to capture the sound of the engines of each truck featured, as the drivers are shown going thru the gears while being interviewed.....very very enjoyable to watch, and even more so when the trucks have twin sticks.

Sorry I'm late responding, the video that you are refering to is of a simular Brockway U360 owned by Peter Grimm, it was origionally owned by Lucia Lumber Co of Agawam MA. who still have several Brockways.

There are a couple utube videos of the Brockways pictured, under the author/name wayout wille.
