Loads for Tonkin 1/53 Flats or Step
« on: June 17, 2014, 08:28:56 PM »
Hey everyone.  I am looking for ideas for items to put on the back of a flat or stepdeck trailer.  Tonkin 1/53 Precision Series is what I have model wise.  I'm looking for maybe a crane or something like that.  I saw a picture of one that got me thinking (see picture).  Also, regardless of the load, I will need straps, any ideas on where to get these?  Thanks for any help ASAP!!!!!

I have used large straws from Starbucks for pipe. Some of the Consolidated Freight trucks and other 1/53rd have bag and cotton loads. Slice popcycle sticks into lumber. PVC pipe for windmill parts. Kit bash, crush or wreck to make scrap metal load. Barrels from large gage train could make a load. Other trailers. Farm or construction equiptment. ;D

I got the elastic straps from sword, u can cut n reclamp the hook ends and the will keep ur load in tact even if u hold the trailer upside down. For loads I've got o gauge coils and stacks of pipe from a hobby store and mini excavators look good on my stepdeck, just a few ideas for ya
