Truck Spotting in Big Country #1 - 3/21/14
« on: June 03, 2014, 08:56:30 PM »
Well, back in March I made a trip up to what's referred to as "Big Country"by the locals to do some judging at a speech/debate tournament in Abilene.  I stayed in a small local hotel in Merkel, TX (about 20 miles west of Abilene), and that night I decided to head out for a quick truck spotting session on I-20 in Merkel.

Let's start with this incredibly sharp LoneStar for John Jackson Trucking of Randolph, AL

389 for Steelman Transportation of Springfield, MO

Sharp FLD for ACL Transport out of California

Old IH wrecker for O*Bar Wrecker Service of Abilene, TX

Sharp VNL780 for Ashley Furniture pulling a Swift dryvan

386 flattop for A&R Transport of Joliet, IL

T660 Greatwide milk hauler

Pete 378 for Targa Transport of Mont Belview, TX

Cascadia for Lone Star Milk Transport of Windthorst, TX

Volvo VNM630 for Combined Transport of Center Point, OR

T660 for Laudick Trucking of Sunman, IN

Sharp Coronado for Rocking K Ranch of Mesa, AZ

Nice W900L running for Mercer Transportation

Parcos Trucking (Lubbock, TX) Columbia pulling a reefer for United Supermarkets

And finally, a 587 L/O for Prime Inc.

Lots of cool catches here - looks like time well spent on your part here, James! ;D - but the LoneStar in the 1st pic steals the show! Very very sharp! I also like the Steelman 389 a lot. :)
