Anchor was a shell company of Mystic and suddenly appeared when Mystic had money problems several years ago. Same trucks & logo just the Anchor name slapped over Mystic.

Now i see the same trucks running around with ACT ((Aggregate & Cement Trucking) also from Astoria NY on the doors. Seems to be a never ending lineage. :D

I used see Anchor Tank Lines a lot here on Long Island. I used to see them on the LIE heading to (or coming from) the new Brookhaven transfer station. I saw them pulling new Pneumatic trailers they have/had. Before that I used to see them pulling gas trailers and delivering to gas stations on Long Island, but I haven't seen that in a real long time.

They have a nice Facebook page with lots of photos of their trucks. One of the most recent posts asks "will you guys ever come back or are you all done" (it was posted on Oct 13th)

First Mystic, now Anchor. :( I wonder where the crooks who ran these 2 companies moved onto next? ??? And how long it will take them to run it into the ground? ???

They may have been crooks, but they sure did run a sharp fleet!  :-\

Yep that they did Jan. :) Caught quite a few Mystic & Anchor rigs over the years (basically same trucks, different name on tractor or tanker  ;D) and they were always at Englishtown.

I don't know what happened to the corporate office but I found some of
the fleet today in The Bronx. Near The Castle Oil depot on East 138 Street.
With the cold weather I got over 50 oil trucks in less than an hour very busy place.
