Saw some ICL Group containers in Antwerp recently. Thought people might enjoy seeing some shots from the other side.

Some cool pictures there. Interesting that the one container is on the ground with Hazmat placards on there.

Taken today, an ex-Central unit running the Universal intermodal side.  Does this group run company trucks?  I usually see O/O's.  With all their new Petes, it's been a while since I've seen a tractor in classic Central "ragged". ::)

We would see quite a few Safmarine containers flowing through the Maersk Fleet. It would throw my drivers off sometimes because we would be given a Safmarine container under a Maersk booking. Made for a lot of phone calls and confusion. lol

This one has already been retired from Central's fleet?
But it's so NEW!!!!
Maybe it was sold off to its driver who is working it on the Universal side.
Central still has their yard up in Milton but I don't see them out too much anymore.

Yes Paul Universal run company trucks in two of its divisions:

Universal Dedicated (previously Logistics Insight Corp. or LINC)

                                        and

Universal Intermodal Services (previously Mason Dixon Intermodal)

Out of a total fleet of over 4,000 tractors 730 are owned or leased 40% of them operated by Universal Intermodal like the one
you photographed and the following one from JR Hodge collection :

http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/pix/trucks/jr/2014/06-15/30-photo-1.html

Rob, your hypothesis is very plausible but it could be also a company driver, but unlikely, or an agency driver.Assets transfer
from a division to another is common in the Moroun's empire in the purpose to increase revenues, pay less taxes, muddle
facts in case of legal dispute etc. The system works as follows :

LGSI Equipment Inc. , the financial arm of Centra proceeds to the purchase or lease of equipment which is then operated in
full ownership mainly by Central Transport or leased to the others divisions directly by LGSI Equipment or through GLS LeasCo,
the in house leasing division of Centra. Then, over the years assets can be moved between the divisions according to the evo-
lution of the matket through financial transactions between them including buy back, lease back or assets liquidation which in-
volve money exchange between Centra's division in a close circle.
