I don't see FMS much around here, I've only seen a unit like you caught once. I usually only see DuraStar straight trucks like this one, my only FMS catch.

JB Hunt used to have a terminal about a mile away from my work in Livonia, Mi., but it seems they have moved and now I don't see the FMS truck much anymore.
Thanks for Looking!

They come into our terminal to pick up items for delivery and to deliver returns. I'll look, I think I have some pictures. Their yard consists of a old long box in a parking lot on Glendale in Sparks.

I believe I posted a pic of a bobtail van a couple of years ago--only one I ever saw--I probably downloaded it to web shots and those pics have disappeared. In any event I would have posted it to a JBH thread.

Dave, I have to hand it to you as usual, for a great photo. I see these straight trucks around here, but I have no idea where they come from. I don't think they come from their terminal in Chicago. I sometimes see a 2 axle 6 wheel tractor from time to time too. Good job on the photo.

So, is FMS strictly local pickup and delivery? Do they have FMS at all their terminals?

Here's Final Mile Services making a delivery in my neighborhood. I'm snapping this looking out of my bedroom window.

Shot this FMS rig in Pittsburgh yesterday.  Can't say that I've see a JBH logo this big before.

FMS is primarily the delivery and installation of appliances at retail stores, new housing developments, and customer homes. In 2012 they were also expanding to exercise equipment and garage work cabinets. I'm not sure if they've added more since then. When I worked there they always said the goal is to make JB Hunt a household name.

Paul, great job on the photo.  :o   I know that I've never seen anything like that before. Usually these trailers are just in the J B Hunt on all four sides, or have the J B Hunt on the sides, and DCS on the front and back. I've never seen final mile. For a minute I thought this trailer was maybe in a certain series, but it looks like 666904, which was perhaps built several months ago in May. J B Hunt has at least 7,262 of these trailers, which were first introduced in October 2013.
