Some pics from my last trip to Montreal ( Mid-April 2013)
« on: April 16, 2013, 03:57:17 AM »
I made a quick trip to Montreal a few days ago. I made my only stop to take pics on my return trip. It was early in the morning, it was cold and humid and  snow was following my trail. I just took  just a few dozens pics at the St-Liboire truck stop and around. Here is a first series

Myer's Construction is from Cardigan PEI. It's a construction  company who have started years ago a transportation division to keep his truck busy during winter.  Now the transportation division is working all year round but they have kept the original company name.

Trans-VR is a small hauler based in East Broughton Qc. They are specialized in the transportation of recreational vehicles  but they haul also anything they can put on their drop deck.

A nice KW T-660 for CN Intermodal.

Seating beside, another new KW, this one for Stevens Transport out of Dallas Tx.

Another American truck is not far away, A Schneider National Cascadia pulling a can.

An to end this short series, a new Coronado for S&M Trucking out of Sysney NS  hauling a big CAT loader.

Very nice series! I love the short-hood SNI Cascadia sleeper, along with the new Coronado hauling the 980K.

Here is a few more from this trip.

A Transport Watson day cab with another specialized load. I don't know what it can be but Kone is a specialist  in the elevator and escalator industry.

I often see Transport Bourassa T-800 day cab but this one seem to be a little special  with his two big stacks.

I use to see mostly KW T-800 with Earl Paddock but recently I have seen quite a few W-900.  Seem to be load with a Canadian Force armoured vehicle back from Afghanistan.

Hunt's Transport is from St-John's NL but with a terminal also in Cambridge ON.

Another Mack Pinnacle , this one from Atlantic Diversified Transportation Service  ( D&D and Warren ).

Key West Express is from Langley BC.  I have ever seen trucks  from Western Canada with a similar livery but can't remember the name of the carrier.

Gerard, you are thinking of Elke Transport who were taken over by either TransX or QuikX ( I don't recall just now). Their Freightliner tractors were sold off; I saw several here at the Toronto Freightliner dealer still in the Elke paint.

You are right Rob, it was Elke Bros. They were also from Langley BC. I took the following pic at the Vaudreuil Flying J in February of   2006 . In another pic taken in 2007, they had  already a white livery with  blue lettering and in a note on the back of the picture I have written that they had been sold to Trans X.

Nice pics as always, but think I'll have to go with the Maritimer even though I have trouble getting use to the look of those Freightliners.
