Here's one of the Sheetz convenience store chain's distribution reefers at the tollbooths where I-80 WB joins the Ohio Turnpike near Youngstown.  One of the rare breaks of sun that day. (12/29/06)

Behind a Sheetz tanker SB on I-79 near Wexford PA.

That's a cool shot, they're hard to get sitting still and seem to deliver alot at night.  I may try and take a ride out to Claysburg later this year and try and find their DC.

For some reason the trucks I see around here pulling the vans are still all FLD's .  All the local tankers are Columbias.

While you are in Claysburg, look for Hoss's DC. Hoss's distribution is done in-house by HFX (Hoss's fresh Express).

Here's a few pictures from the SHeetz DC in Claysburg PA, about 20 miles north of Bedford.  It was a large facility, with the trucks parked in the back and pretty secure, so I just snapped a few shots from the service road.  You can see where I-99 runs up along the ridge.  It replaced U.S. 220 which runs down here in the valley.  They were out of numbers, so I-99 is geographically between I-79 and I-81.  Pictures taken 5/24/07.

I finally came across one of their vans actually making a delivery at an outlet, this one in West Mifflin, Pa. on 5/24.  Ironically, I had taken a day trip over into central Pa, part of which was to find their DC in Claysburg, and 12 hours and 300+ miles later I find one five miles from home.

Very sweet looking Volvo tanker! :)
I was a little surprised to see a gas station chain that I hadn't been to, but then I looked at their web site and found that they only have locations in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Ohio and North Carolina, and I haven't been to those states since '02, so I probably have seen a Sheetz station, only I have forgotten... :)
