March at my local spot.
« on: March 16, 2013, 11:57:44 AM »
Up to now March have not been good  for maple syrop making : too cold during the day , to warm during the night. Between working periods at my son sugar place, I had time to make a few stop at my local truck spotting spot. I should have enough pics to post  a few selections during the following days.

This bright yellow W-900 is identified with the letter V.I.T. . I know nothing about this carrier, maybe an individual trucker from Beauce County.

L.V. Lomas is from Brampton ON.  For some time this winter they had a new KW T-680 from PacLease. This one is identified to them.

Acier Victoria is a steel distributor based in Victoriaville Qc. All the trucks in their private fleet have a little something that make them interesting.

Seaboard from Nova Scotia took over Harmac from Ontario a few years ago. We still see new trucks identified  only to Seaboard, other only to Harmac and quite a few  as Seaboard-Harmac.

This Argosy day cab which was identified with Transport Robert last fall  is now identified to Transport Watson but once in a while he is pulling Robert trailers. There is close links between those two carriers and it is not rare to  see trucks from one carrier pulling  trailers for the other.

This small Kenworth flat bed from AIM haul  equipments for their division Delsan. Delsan is a specialist in demolition and environment works.

It appears Gerard that winter is still in force in your area. Here in central Maine all snow is gone and we are playing in mud on the rural gravel road. With daytime temps near forty and down to twenty at night, the sap is flowing good. Hopefully things improve in your area.

My favorite of this serie would be the Peterbilt day cab for Acier Victoria. The lights, two tone paint, and a bit of chrome make it stand out.

That Argosy sure looks strange as a day cab,I don't think I have ever seen one before.

Goulet Trucking is a bulk hauler based in South Dearfield MA.  They are mostly regional carrier all over New England. Last year I have seen one of their trucks once or twice in my neck of the wood. In the first week of March I have catched six of them within one hour and last week  in about the same period of time I have seen six more.  So I thing it may be worth  to make a six pack with a selection of them.  On their web site they said to operate 40 trucks . Most of the trucks seem to be green .  Fleet seem to be a variety of Paccar trucks but the few 2013 I have seen are Western Star.

Growing up in the Albany NY area and traveling to Massachusetts/CT quite often, I'd see quite a few Goulet rigs.  They predominately are a hazardous waste hauler, contaminated soil...that sort of thing.  You guys might have figured that by the amount of placards on their dump trailers and the extra waste numbers on the trailers.  Cool catch, never knew they made it up in your neck of the woods though.  That's a little out of their territory!  haha

Thank's guys for the comments.  Here is some pics I took last Monday.  Snow was almost all gone, trucks were clean but  as the afternoon was going on the overcast became darker and snow started to fall a few hours after.  At the end we received more than 35 cm of new white stuff.

Seem that the " new " Photobucket have tricky ways to handled pics. I never know  in which order the pics I upload will come in the library. So I will start here with the bonus. Some old stuff, an old Mack-Renault Midliner hauling an even older John Deere tractor.

A quite nice Coronado Mk I leased to Transport Robert

Kee-West is a car hauler based in Winnipeg but  they may have a Quebec division  as this small KW have Quebec plates.

Transport Beauregard from Napierville area with a new Pete. This fleet was ever all Kenworth.

Transport Nomade from St-Jean (Richelieu) with a load of BRP Sea-Doo.

Goodfellow Lumber from Delson Qc.

TVM is an auto part hauler. Mike have ever posted pics of them in Michigan.

I like the Beauregard Pete! I see them from time to time down here, can't always get a shot though.

I bet considering they were probably only 5 hrs from home.  I wonder if they were doing some special gig that was maximizing their hours and they all were able to get their 34-hr restart in up there rather than bounce home for the weekend.
