Busses on Dutch roads
« on: September 03, 2012, 11:41:08 AM »
Hi you all,

A new series of European busses, this time a number of busses on Dutch roads. Its a mix of touringcars and line busses (public transport).

Have a look and enjoy.

ps. Norseman takes care of the identification later on.....Thanks Jan!

All the best,

Ah good, more buses from Reinder! 8)

Let's see....

1 and 2 - I believe these are Jonckheere built low floor buses, probably with DAF engines. Don't know any more details, as we don't have these up here.
3. Van Hool Astromega double decker.
4. Volvo 9700 coach... these are my favorite coaches right now. They don't look like spaceships or anything, like too many coaches do these days, they just look just like coaches are supposed to look. ;)
5. VDL BOVA Magiq MHD 148-460.

Hi Jan,

Nr. 1 & 2 are VDL Berkhof busses, built in Holland. One of their plants is located in Heerenveen, its nearby my hometown.

I will go there and have a look if I can make some additional bus shots!
All the best,

Ah, VDL Berkhofs... I really wasn't sure at all about those two; I knew Jonckheere had made some quite similar looking buses some years back, so I kind of took a chance on that. ;)
