« on: March 21, 2013, 10:23:35 AM »
Found this Eastern Freightways Volvo # 95169 Ex NEMF colors
in The Bronx on 3 19 13.
The Eastern Logo lacks the red colors. Is this cost saving ??

Usually it's the other way around. This is odd, but I guess they needed more sleepers for the dedicated flatbed division.

When I look at that trailer it sure looks like an Ex L.J. Kennedy trailer that was used to haul sheetrock.

Sure does. Wouldn't surprise me. Chevelle bought a bunch of ex-Heartland tractors for this division when they started getting flatbeds, so the fact that the flatbeds themselves appear used isn't surprising.  I'm not sure if they still have the ex-Heartland tractors.
