Before leaving Penticton we checked out the Industrial area to fine a Peterbilt 379 from Berry & Smith

a Cascadia Mk II from Berry & Smith

and then a Freightliner Coronado 132 MK II from Arrow

another 379 double drop deck

a beefy looking M2 Freightliner

sitting at the IH dealer

a cool 4700 WS at the IH dealer

I thought this was a KW T800H but it has a bit of a slope nose so not sure now

little binder looking for more snow and stuff

this big Star has some potential for getting things done

BONUS SHOT:

Here is a 1940 Ford with a 350 Chevy engine -that I painted 10 or so years ago- at the BC Truck Museum show n shine

Onto Oliver next

Thanks Bob, it did turn out well and was surprised to see it, still owned by the same guy.....but I did not run into him.

We chose to go home via Osoyoos down Hwy 97 south to the border, then connect Hwy #3 there and head west to home, that added about 30 miles to the trip but we hadn't been down that way in a while, lots to see like this R Model Value Liner dump in Oliver

somewhere between Oliver and Osoyoos this was point and shoot, seems like the Western Star owner wanted to check under the hood before leaving on his run, looks like the hydro pole was too close but I think it just cleared

a fine IH 9900ix at the Husky Truckstop in Osoyoos

KW W900L at the Husky

all these next ones are from Osoyoos too, Vedder Transport Peterbilt B-train tanks rolls into town heading east on 3

this retired Ford LTS 9000 concrete mixer sits on the hill

not sure of the year on this Ford LN 600 but it looks to be in good shape

earlier in Penticton going by the hotel, Iron Bull Trucking, they call Osoyoos home, as seen here with this heavy duty Columbia tractor

looks like this FLD120 is a retired tractor

a pair of purple Paccars

a non plated Freightliner COE in Purple

another COE, a long chassis KW aerodyne

heading west on 3, a point and shoot of a small trucking company that transports some of  the fruits of the valley, town of Cawston

this Peterbilt is on the detour route in Keremeos, we should have too as they wet the road down creating mud, that made our ride dirty :(

In Princeton, a sharp lookig KW T800 with AMIX recycling in the back ground

coming west of Hope on #1 now, coming up to an IH on the back of a hook

and this is what is left of what turned out to be a Lonestar :(

and that was the highlights of the trip. Thanks for checkin in,

Jim.

The International and the Kenworth are a fine pair of rigs. 8)
The LN 600 appears to be CNG or LNG fueled, interesting.

restored Ford F850 from Remple Bros. Concrete of Langley

The Ford F850 mixer has got to be one of the most unusual trucks I've seen on the Forum. 8)

Lots of neat older trucks you found there Jim, nice trip! I like that new Volvo straight truck too, haven't seen those yet down here. And the Diamond Delivery Pete is sharp, as are the three purple trucks including what I suspect is a 567 with the grille bars taken off.

The Volvo box is pretty snazzy, and the old Ford mixer looks great! 8)

Thanks guys for the comments, it was a great trip!

Wreckerman:  I believe you are correct about the grille bars being removed, changes the whole look.

A few from the past week, fist off, a Columbia day cab with room for a drome box pulling a shorty for the movie industry

seen this one coming, got out on the sidewalk but he was moving along, shoot between the trees is what needed doing to nab the KW heavy haul with  Komatsu hoe on the deck

North bound Peterbilt from Ameri-Can headed up to Pt.Kells, 10 minutes later I catch him again bob tailing

Old Skool taken at the By-Low terminal

Old Skool runs an impeccable fleet for the food chain

another pair of awesome Paccars

another fine Old Skool with equally clean reefer, the white upper lower detail is unique on the stainless Great Dane

another fine Old Skool Peterbilt 387(?)

Graestone Concrete of Langley has been upgrading the fleet of late, Peterbilt 567 Twinsteer mixer is one of those

and here we have another brand new KW T880 Twin steer from the smart coloured fleet, first T880twinsteer I've seen

it has a set forward axle so maybe it isn't even a T880, I will investigate :)

Man, great set with all the large cars!

That "T880" at the end is neat too, at least it looks like a newer version of the T880 to me. The twin steer 567 is also really cool, as is the green W900 heavy hauler. Looks like it could be an ex-St. Germain rig.
