RANDOM SHOTS FROM BC
« on: March 18, 2012, 10:36:30 PM »
Caught a few interesting shots in the Langley region.
Starting off with this killer Lonestar, looks tough with the moose bars but I'd rather see that nice grille

This black 379 probably sounds as good as it looks, a few extra lights too!

A 379 with an m/t tridem flat deck

Probably a few relics in this batch, a classic 81 Chevy pick up peaks out in anguish :(

The 389 that is draggin this sad lot around

a 387 that looks like it might be a former Trans Ft McNamara

Very nice Tridem reefer sitting here with the reefer going, coolin' the meat!

one of these trucks is likely the one hooked into it in the morning

Nice Pictures, Do you know what the company name said on the door on that last Kenworth, looks identical to one that is here(they haul logs and wood chips),  They run the exact same setup with the moose bumper, truck number on the hood, pinstriping, but the only thing is there isnt a front plate which would be odd if its from NB

Thanks guys, I took a closer look at the KW Cat304c, too sharp an angle unfortunately, the air breather is in the way, truck # is 38 if that helps, wonder if they sold one of their trucks? Couldn't find a plate on it either, the Volvo has an Ontario base plate and I thought they were running together but not sure!! There was only one trailer. I'll look for it and if I see it again, I'll try to get a name (or side shot)

Interesting series of great looking  trucks. About 10 years ago, I use to see, once in a while, Pathfinder trucks in my neck of the wood.  I have not seen any since.

I thought they had a terminal out of Toronto then and in the 90's Gerard, don't know if they still do, and they had one out of Burnaby( I think) here, should google and see if they still have.

OK, according to Google, they are just north of me, Pt. Kells (Surrey BC),who knew!! No listing for any other terminal so I may have been confused with the Toronto region, our local Torontonian aka Rob Archer, or Doug McKenzie may know!

I was about 2 minutes too late to catch him actually dumping, that is a site I love to see. They haven't been active much on weekends lately to catch anything, I was surprised I found him there that day!! During the week, its busy all day! I'll try to get back there one day soon....................in the action!!

All very nice shots. The background in the pic of the Lonestar make for a nice pic.

I'll look forward to your action shots of the chip dump. Yep, I like getting out on weekdays for the action, unfortunately other people seem to have plans for my vacation days! :( But this year I'm putting my foot down, I'm taking 5 days and use them one at a time for getting out for truck photography during a week day.
