I've Got the Back Door
« on: February 06, 2012, 06:56:21 PM »
Sometimes I like to take pictures of trucks driving away from me for posterity sake. The first two I caught on my last visit to Street Rd. and the other three are YRC trucks leaving the terminal.

That last long box is quite the oddball. I've seen others like it too. No numbers, no apparent ghost lettering and only YRC stenciled on the nose and door. They just came out of the wood work!

Where did you see P996 at?  That's an old one for sure!  :)

Greg,

Just a real good idea for a thread. I'm guilty of not getting more rear shots of trailer doors. This will give me a place to post some of them, when I get a door shot.

This one I took January 31st on my way to St. Louis.  The other YRC unit is the white one I caught in my mirror that I posted earlier.

That's the next series of trailers I'll be working on, the YFSY 430***-431*** pig replacement system van pool.

I'm glad the thread is well received!

Paul, I love the AF throw back. I miss seeing that familiar sight on the highways. Dave, I enjoy the Motor Cargo pups as they aren't too common out here.

I looked through my archives and found TONS of shots of back doors. Here's a few more.

Greg, here is something different, that you asked for in another post:

I thought this was pretty cool, Knight with triples. Just don't see stuff like this very often, the rear view of a Mountain Valley Express trailer:

Time to join in with a YRC capture from yesterday on I-95 around Jacksonville FL. The ex Yellow deck trailer is #130671.

130671: Wabash built either in 2006 or 2007, will have to look into my cystal ball to find the year.  Composite plate wall construction, think because it is a Wabash we can call it "Dura Plate," it has vertical A-track rails spaced on 16" centers with Jost legs. Thanks for the posted photo...
