Clearing the land
« on: January 11, 2012, 10:35:41 AM »
Back at the end of March there was a big land clearing project going on, taking out roughly 80-100 acres of trees to convert into farm ground.  Brown Trucking from Wellston, OH did the chip hauling off site and all six of their trucks staged at an old shopping center in town.  They were regulars there for a few weeks which offered some photo opportunities.  Not flashy equipment by any means but Iím sure the job can be rough on trucks.

Towards the end of the job a few other trucks from Wellston also joined in, including this Pete with M G Miller Trucking

A lineup shot - the 387 on the far left is with Hammond Transportation, Inc. from Nicholasville, KY that also decided to join the group one morning

All in all I enjoyed watch the project as Iíve never seen land cleared like that on a large scale and the equipment was unique as well. :)
