MATS 2011
« on: January 07, 2012, 02:24:27 PM »
Sorry, I know these are outdated but I have some left over photos from the show (duing the show) that are just taking up space so is it cool if I post them here? Cant believe the 2011 show was over 8 months ago :o

A couple of rigs from the IH exhibit

Heres the cool old White-Freightliner from Maggie Transport

The W900L modified aero truck

Freightliner for the PPG group that was in the lot

My favorite of the show, the K100 from Northrop Enterprises

Sharp T800 with a decent amount of axles

And finally, Jade's sharp 389. I tried to get a shot of their other rig but it was surrounded with people

Some nice trucks in that bunch.
Did you see how many off that multi axle trailer were steer axles?

Thanks!, I can't tell how many there are on the dumper trailer. They all do appear to be super singles tho...

Ahh, nice! Brings back some good memories. ;)

I don't think any of them steer... Quite a few of them lift, though.

Fangio - I can't say for sure, but I seem to recall having read that those Michigan setups with a million axles don't have steering axles, but that the way they get them around bends is to lift a number of the axles and go about the turn very gently. It sounds rather primitive to me, so it is possible I remember wrong... ???

Here's a few more from the outside show

The awesome Marmon from Rhodes Trucking in PA

Old A-model KW from Charlie Schrecengost Trucking, also from PA

379 with IMO some cool graphics

'79 Peterbilt 359 that appears to be owned by a retired trucker

Nice FL Columbia leased to Mercer from Louisville, KY

Very nice IH tri-axle setup. I did not catch the name of this one but it is sharp

And finally, the best pic I could get of the Mack freedom truck
