Swift orders 3,000 Kenworth's

Swift Transportation has ordered 3,000 trucks
from Kenworth Truck co.
The order was for W900 with sleeper cabs.
Delivery will be up to December 31, 2006.

this will be interesting to see I think at one time Swift did run KW but I am not sure.  I really think their truck are going to look great

I heard that the KW's are for their lease purchase program, not for company trucks.  We'll have to see if that's true, I guess.  If they are for lease only, I wonder if they'll be different colors, or all white??

Cowcruzer is right.  They are going to be in Swift's Lease Purchase program.

Yes swift did run a few T-600 KWs back in the late 1980s and early 1990s..

Yes swift did run a few T-600 KWs back in the late 1980s and early 1990s..

Saturday on my way back from Billings I say one setting the Hysham, Mt restarea it was solid blue KW W900 and had the areo type sleeper(condo)

Since they are for the lease purcahse program, I would guess that they could be used for whatever the leaser wanted to use them for.  I met one on the interstate yesterday that was pulling a set of the Costco doubles.

CowCruzer, hey look around the dock of costco in Missoula and see if you can't find a Swift FLD120 day cab park there on the weekends.  There is one parked at the Costco dock in Billings a time or two.  Next time I go to Billings, I will look for it and get a truck number - I was there yesterday and it was parked in the back hooked up to a 53 feet van - the truck number was 19734 - look and see if you see it in Missoula sometime at your Costco
