Westbound on I-40- Part 1
« on: October 01, 2011, 08:54:07 AM »
Plenty of nice rigs out on I-40 between Tennessee, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.
I stopped my shift of the driving in the morning, stopped for gas, and looked across the street to see a 2008 Mack Pinnacle at the Flying J.

  • Tyson International Prostar bobtailling.
  • Nice Praxair Kenworth T-800.
  • Landstar Western Star.

Sharp Peterbilt with an ex-SDS Transportation reefer.

  • I really like this Peterbilt, I just wish I didn't cut off the back of the trailer!

  • Lonestar Transportation Peterbilt 389.
  • Purple Peterbilt 389 with a flatbed.
  • Volvo VNL sleeper hauling for Forward Air.

One of the most tasteful trucks I've seen on the road.

  • Decker Peterbilt 386
  • Heartland International Prostar with an ad.
  • Penske Freightliner Cascadia leased to Cain's Coffee.
  • Freightliner Classic with a leased trailer.

A whole bunch of cool catches here, Greg! Especially cool catch on that Kennesaw 587! I was hoping they'd get some 587s since they've had 387s for some time. I also really like the JR's ProStar, the Tutle & Tutle 379, the 389 with the cut off trailer (hehe), the SLT 379 cattle pot, and the Palmentere Bros T660. I guess, based on this pic, that Palmentere Bros have gone away from the red side skirts on their new trucks. :-\

I remember seeing a few Kennesaw trucks on my trip Jan, 3 of them were 587s. Glad I caught them now, I don't think I'll be down there again for a while. I saw a couple Palmentere trucks on this trip, and no I didn't see any with red skirts. :(

Very nice catch on the Kennessaw 587! 8) I have yet to see one of those. The Palmentere Bros. T660 is also very sharp IMO. I'm glad they're still using KWs, I was always a bit surprised when they went to Freightliners a few years back.

I really like the Kennesaw 587!  It seems to be a little "busy" with markings though.
