On the Back Roads of Virginia
« on: August 22, 2011, 07:49:56 AM »
There were points in Virginia where we took more of a scenic route over the interstates. That didn't mean there weren't any trucks though. Most of these were logging machines and chip haulers.
Freightliner Classic with some sort of logging machine on the trailer.

Peterbilt 379 chip hauler.

Freightliner FLD flatbed with tall stacks.

Kenworth hauling logs.

Volvo VT sleeper with a load of wiring.

We were following this Kenworth through a very windy part of the route. There were a few times where I thought it would tip.

CSX Transportation trucks were laying over at the motel we stayed at for two nights near the intersection of I-81 and I-64. CSX had tracks that ran along most of the scenic route.

I like back road. Lot of surprises there, sometime interesting, sometime dangerous like this  logging trucks or  farming  equipment taking most of the road.

I like the Landstar VT830 a lot. Looks very well kept. :)
