Butch Taylor Memorial Truck Show
« on: August 05, 2011, 11:45:53 PM »
I went to southern B.C. for a couple weeks including a few days on Vancouver Island. The first dat there ,July 31st,I happened to come across this show just by chance. So I fired up the camera and took some pictures. Some of the trucks had left already and the light was lousy because it was late in the day but there was still some very cool old iron there. Hope you enjoy.

Man, I want to happen upon something like this just by chance, too!  :o ;D Looks like a cool show, with a mix of both new and old stuff. I sure enjoyed the pictures! Thanks for sharing. 8)

The Pete cabbed Hayes COE is my favorite of the bunch, btw... sharp truck - and rare, too, I bet! :)

It was a very nice surprise,we were on our way to the hotel when I spotted the show beside the highway.I wish I was a little earlier because some trucks had already left but I still enjoyed it.

I'm glad you managed to come by.  The show will happen again next year, same location on the BC Day long weekend.  The Island Big Rig Club hosted this show and they managed to raise $10,000 for the BC Children's Hospital. (they donated $10,000 last year as well)

This year's show is coming up on Aug. 4,5 at the same place as last year.  If anyone is near the area, come on by.
