Aussie Truck Video's
« on: June 27, 2011, 03:33:50 AM »
Hi all.

It's been a long while since I posted here.  Some of you may remember my fotopic site, 'Aussie Trucks", but since fotopic seems to have gone the way of the Dodo bird, I have been putting a few video's on YouTube.

If anyone wants to have a look, go to http://www.youtube.com/user/emd645e3c and then click the Playlists tab at the top.  I have put the currently uploaded truck video's into a couple of playlists to make life easier.  Some of them include the parade from the Castlemaine truck show last year.

If there's enough interest I might start making some of the photo's I had on my old fotopic site into video's.  Of course if I go to the effort of doing this...no doubt fotopic will magically re appear !!

Anyways...heres a few truck pics for you to look at.

I have added a new slide show to my site ( link below ).  While on the Western Highway in Victoria last week, I spotted Ipec and Direct trucks both with a pair of A Trailers.  I have never seen this before and was wondering how common it is, and if they do this now on the Melb - Perth run, and just attach the last trailer in Adelaide to make a B-Triple and just continue on ?

The first scene shows the Direct one.

Steve,a nice slideshow. ;)
Are the trucks on it average or are they the more "polished" kind?

G'day Steve, i think your on the money with the two A trailers going to Adelaide to pick up the third trailer,
where abouts on the highway did you take the shots or was the one with the Grays cabover roadtrain taken elsewhere same as the Milthorpe 608
Bear Grills calls it Man vs Wild
Aussies call it camping

The truck only shots are from the Castlemaine truck show Parade, everything else is just shot roadside...so basically working trucks.

The Mini B Triple was taken at Ararat.  Theres also an IPEC one in one of the recent Kenworth Cab Over video's I put up.

The Grays Cab Over Road Train was at Tocumwal.  And the Milthorpe 608 I THINK was Jerilderie.

Speaking of IPEC...I hear the IPEC yellow is going to start turning TOLL green.

G'day Steve, i had forgotten about NSW and roadtrains there as well

I dont like the new green that Toll are painting their trucks, but i suppose it will grow on me after a while

I'm not too keen on the all green for Toll they are introducing.

I'll try and get another slide show up over the weekend.

Thanks.

I should have one or two new ones uploaded tomorrow hopefully.

While near Castlemaine tonight, I couldn't resist the temptation with the dark storm clouds to stick my head into the oval at the Rotary Truck show to see if I could get any shots with the nice lighting during the set up.  There were a few trucks there already.

A shot below of a HHA Tri drive T908.

I am curious, most of those trailers look like our grain trailers with a tarp on the roof . Any idea what they are hauling? By the way, good vidio. Enjoyed it....

I assume you are referring to our Tautliners.  Can you send a video link and a time to have a look at so I can see what you're referring to ?
