2011 ATHS TRUCK SHOW. SOUTH BEND IND.
« on: May 30, 2011, 12:56:33 PM »
I had the chance to stop off at the aths truck show this past Thursday. I did manage to get some shots in before the monsoon started up again. Lucky for me, They gave me a spot where I was able to leave half of the truck up on pavement. This is my 6th time attending the aths show and every time , they run it like a well oiled machine. while at the show. I had the honor of meeting long time truck photographer "Neil Sherff".  it was a true honor and  he is by far, one of the nicest guys I have ever had a chance to meet.

 Great pictures. Keep 'em coming.
Last Wednesday, I was south bound on I 75 just north of Dayton, and saw a couple of north bound rigs I'm sure must have been on their way there. I only caught a glimpse of them going by, but I'm sure one was an LJ Mack with an integral sleeper, and right behind it was an Autocar, also with integral sleeper.
Did you get a look at anything like that?

Thanks. I think the Mack was pulling a flat deck with some old machinery on it or something. Like I said it was just a glimpse I caught going the other way. Sure would have liked to get a good look at them.

My SO and I enjoyed the show on Thursday afternoon after the rain.  Another forum indicates 800 trucks made the show.  It wasn't as big as Auburn, but different trucks were present.  By Friday, they were parking trucks in the spectator parking area.  I took about 40 photos, but did not take notes this time.  Usually, I record the year, make, and owner.  My photos include the fire engines, the brass era indoor displays, and the car carrier hauling John Deere tractors.  We bought t-shirts and elephant ears.  Nobody had a "trucks with 2 sticks" t-shirt for sale.
