Having done the cross country trip a few times, it sure is great to stop in the rest areas and truck stops.
You need to bring a few extra memory cards.
But I agree with some of you guy's that Jersey sure is a busy truck state, The Turnpike, all the east/ west
interstates, The Ports of Elizabeth and Newark and all the piggyback yards.

BUT

Nothing beats The Cross Bronx Expressway. Its only about six miles long. But pound for pound its got the most
trucks. That does not include the vocational trucks that are everywhere.
The USDOT says its the worst highway in the country, even beats all of Calif, The Long Island Exp and all the others.
I love to listen to the traffic reports " The Cross Bronx is bumper to bumper from New Rochelle to The G W "
Thats not only once a month or once a week, thats everyday, all day.
and the best part is you get the newest of the new and the oldest of the old.
But those dang chain link fences they put on the overpasses sure dosn't make it easy to take pictures.
And if The Yankee game is letting out, your gonna sit for a while
And if there is a accident, you better pack a lunch
There is no place like The Cross bronx
Anybody want a guided tour, just call me.

I agree..I love the southern California grocery haulers and the oil field rigs in west Texas.. The main point I was driving at is what do you think the "capital" is and why? Love to see what others have.

Jimmy if you ever make it here I will personally drive you to all the good spots and buy you lunch in the Philadelphia sandwich establishment of your choice..

I'll take you up on that if I ever make that far east for sure!

Thanks,

Jimmy B
