Came across this Titan from a NC company on 4-13-11 waiting to leave the Wilco in Kingsland GA as soon as the escort cars were ready.

Awesome catch, Charlie.  But why do they need the jeep and other axles that crane does not look like a heavy 1?

Nice catch on the Titan!  If I didn't know better, I'd think this picture was from Australia. ;D  I haven't seen too many Titans, but from what I've heard around here, I guess I'm not too surprised. :-\
The foot turned to the horse, the horse to the carriage, the carriage to the train, and the train to the truck.

Complicated question. Not acquainted with that specific model of excavator, but with the counterweight on it for transport its going to be quite a bit heavier than it looks. Also depends a lot on the state's weight laws.

Its also not unusual to haul something down on a larger than necessary trailer if there's something big to be picked up on the other end. We've picked up a Linkbelt 8090 on the 10-wide (125 ton, 2-3-2 lowboy) because there was a PC600 Komatsu waiting for transport after we dropped the 8090.

Nice catch, wonder how the companies who bought into the Titan's have felt about them. Hi-Plains had one over at the yard, price was too tall for what it had.

You know, the Titan is one truck that looks right at home as a heavy hauler!

I totally agree With you! ;D I could never imagine a titan carrying a van or a refer. It looks like it is totally built for heavy haul. Same with alot of Kenworth T800s.

Very true! And I haven't seen one that wasn't yet, anyway.  :)
