I like this one a little better---

"Boston Elevated Railway bus #1204. It was built by, the drum roll please, the Versare Corporation of Albany, New York. From the information that people had sent us, the Versare Corp. built buses from 1925 through 1931. They became a part of the Cincinnati Car Company around 1929 and the bus pictured seated 37 passengers. The Versare buses were considered advanced for their day and some were powered by gas-electric motors. A number of transit companies in cities throughout the Untied States and Canada purchased them besides the Boston Elevated Railway, including Albany, Cleveland, Montreal, and New York."

Here is another photo of the bus 800 Atwater that was used from 1927 to 1934 on the circuit Atwater. The bus was about 40 feet long and 8 feet wide with 8 wheels, 4 forward and 4 reverse. With a gasoline engine / electric generator, it had a capacity of 40 persons. The bus could be used at Verdun because of its width and good condition of streets. He was driving on the circuit Atwater-LaSalle  when service ended in 1934 as the bus broke in two. It was nicknamed the Monster of Atwater because of its size. Diffficile to believe that this monster was circulating in the streets of Verdun during this period.

George - Jerry - All -

Surely, this must be later date build, 1940s - 1950s? Reminds me of the mess Dwight Austin
found himself in, with the earlier (1920s) PICKWICK coaches. Fearsome appearance?...

The cited COACHBUILT entry ref. PICKWICK much more thorough
in scope. The entries on the site just keep getting improved...
