TST Overland Express
« on: January 02, 2010, 05:47:34 AM »
TST Overland seems to contract much of their linehaul to outside carriers. Almost everytime I go along Maingate Drive I see a tractor from another carrier. The trailer line against the fence has lots from various carriers.
On Boxing Day a Volvo from Yanke Transfer was parked by the booth at the gate.

I imagine this could have brought a load from anywhere; the former TST Porter to an Estes terminal somewhere in the States.
The loads that do come up from the States  are under TST Overland's control. All the PARS that I see are done on the 2153 Carrier Code. They do show weekend arrivals at both Windsor and Sarnia; something that I doubt would occur with Overland's own drivers.

They offer their unused space for rent and share their hubs with others carriers. Once I recall to have see LE Walker there too. So, it might related to the "for rent" thing too, but I agree TST outsources its jobs a lot...

Caught this Volvo in older paint hauling a full Transforce swoosh trailer.

They still show the Expresslink graphics.
