Very nice shot below30,first time I saw a Roff tractor or trailer in a Walmart llivery. Here in Quebec Roff delivers to stores located in the western part of the province including the Greater Montreal but east of Montreal SCM contract out the transport operation to CSI Logistics.

About SCM (Supply Chain Management Inc,),it is operating on behalf of Walmart since 1994 and contract out the transport operation since the beginning.SCM was part of a big UK 3PL named Tibbett & Britten taken over by Exel at the turn of the century.Exel was itself taken over few months later by DHL which continues to operate its logistics operations in NA always under the Exel brand and continues to operate some contracts under some T & B trademark like Matrix Logistics Services Ltd. whsh operates a big DC in Brampton with the transport operation contracting out to Canada Cartage on behalf of Shopper Drug Mart

I was talking to a CSI linehaul driver, who was telling me about the link to Climan transport and PCY carriers. He did tell me about Roff (of Cornwall) only running as far as Montreal in K'bec. He does linehaul between Cornwall and Mississauga because Mississauga does most of the backhaul for all 3 DC's.

I wonder if Walmart Canada will eventually takeover SCM and run it themselves?

When Walmart opened a new DC in Cornwall the first dedicated carrier operating from that location was PCY Dedicated but around 2004 they suddenly desappeared from the road and Roff took over the operations from Cornwall. However the company named 378650 inc. which was operating PCY Dedicated Services inc, changed its name for Crailing Logistics Services inc. (CSI) in february 2005 operating from the same address in Cornwall. The company changed it's name after the shut down of the PCY general freight operations and was allways the property of the  Cottrell family,

About Roff Logistics,I found something which it seems interesting.Roff is a trademark of Jasbrolease from Brampton http://www.jasbro.com/ look at the logo and make a comparaison with the one of Location Brossard from Montreal http://www.brossard.com/ and considering the letters ``bro``in thr Jasbro name it seems to have a direct link between the two companies :? :? :?

That's some good insight R. Buron.
But Roff is actually a separate company. Jasbro is actually a part of the National Lease corporation. That Jasbro website is out of date and the company is actually located somewhere else now. Check the National lease website and go to "Location Directory" and you'll see Jasbro in the Canadian part of the list. Jasbro use to be located close to the Roff office and that's probably why Roff chose them.

SCM use to have 2 smaller DC's in Ontario before Mississauga: one in Stoney Creek and one in Brampton. Roff probably made their office in Brampton to be close to the DC and Jasbro was across the street from Roff, so it made logistical sense.

But they were never a joint company.

R Nagle, was it going North of #12? I always thought Roff only went as for North as Midland.
